That Happy Hermit We Sometimes Envy

29/12/2025

A Treasure from the Divine

We find in the books of history, in every country, stories of hermits who went to live in the mountains. On all continents, there are tales of the wise ones who left their families and their villages, seeking peace and loneliness. I am sure they were introverts, seeking freedom from the pressure of society. Or maybe they were just tired of some dramas — I say this with a gentle smile.

In the past, those who needed to escape their lives for a shorter or longer moment in time could simply leave the village and find a quiet place in nature to rest. Later in history, those who could not leave the village would then use alcohol to escape the pressure of daily burdens. Today, people use other ways to escape their daily life: they use virtual reality worlds.

Did you ever wonder what it is, and why we need those moments of escaping? The thing is, many people are not aware of their own level of constant overwhelming until their body sends them to a doctor. Life has become increasingly demanding, and the permanent expectations from people and society have grown bigger, especially since everybody is available 24/7 with smartphones.

Dreaming about escaping all these demands is maybe simply our healthy survival instinct?

Maybe those hermits were introverts like me. I always loved to read about these hermits, and there are days when I envy them, living in the calm and the peace of nature in the mountains. No obligations, no pressure from the local community. They seem to be so free, simply living in harmony with nature, far away from the many noises of the cities.

Yes, I grew up in the mountains and spent lots of time in nature. But now that small village is no longer a small village, and Instagram tourists have replaced the quiet, peaceful seasons we enjoyed in the past.

I not only envy the hermits living in hidden corners of the mountains somewhere in the Himalayas, I also remember the passion I felt when watching movies with heroes riding through wide open landscapes, meditating in the peace of nature, so serene… then preparing the fish you caught in the river or the lake over a nice fire… watching the stars at night…

As humans, we misunderstand the blessings that loneliness can offer. Yes, we can feel lonely while living in a big city. I lived and worked in big insurance companies in Zurich for several years, and I know that one can feel lonely even with big circles of connections in a city.

But then, there is another form of loneliness: the one that comes together with situations when you lose a job, face health issues, or after a separation. These are the moments when we suddenly start feeling lonely, because the circumstances around us have unexpectedly shifted to a quieter, less busy life.

To not feel that unexpected loneliness, many escape into streaming movies and similar activities. Those are distractions we use to avoid feeling the things we fear to feel, because many unconsciously associate loneliness with a sense of failure. The opposite is true: there is a hidden treasure in times of loneliness that your Soul wants you to understand…

I admit, those kinds of changes can feel scary for our human self. Those who walk the spiritual path know that these changes can also offer a unique chance: these longer periods of loneliness can be arranged for us through a higher, divine guidance — a time for healing, for restoration, and for learning.

And this is why we should not see loneliness as failure, but as an invitation from the higher Self to rest, to process, and to heal. Why? Because too often in life, we do not get enough free time anymore to process all the situations we have experienced. Ask yourself honestly: are you sure, really sure, that you did have a chance to process everything you went through in the last 25 years?

What some people call a burn-out, as one example of many symptoms, is often a clear sign that a person simply did not have enough time — and did not receive the necessary support — to truly process certain events that happened to them.

Those hermits went into nature for different reasons: they all wanted free time to think about their lives, time to process whatever happened in their lives. Yes, certainly, some of them probably wanted to get away from their dysfunctional families. Most of them were certainly not willing to fulfill the many expectations their local communities projected onto them.

But many of the hermits simply felt they wanted some alone time to think in the quiet peace of nature. And isn’t this what we all long for sometimes?

These hermits had two things that most of us in the modern world are now often longing for: stillness and free time. They were not afraid of loneliness, because they knew that alone time is needed to truly find inner calm and connect with the higher Self and the Divine Source. And they knew that inner peace and stillness are necessary to really hear the whispered answers from the Divine Realms.

When outer circumstances change and we find ourselves in times of loneliness, we can see it as a gentle gift the Divine Soul has lovingly arranged for us: a moment of divine protection, a sacred pause to rest deeply, to tenderly process what has happened, and to consciously heal the wounds of the heart.
Loneliness can also be a precious time given to us to explore spiritual teachings, to nourish the soul, and to feel the quiet embrace of the Divine within and around us.

If you find yourself feeling alone and your heart longs for a gentle presence, please feel free to reach out. I am here for you. We can meet soul to soul over a cozy cup of coffee in a quiet video call, simply sharing space and listening.

With a loving hug and heartfelt blessings,
Jeanne

More Fun, Greater Ease: My Heartfelt Resolution for 2026

26/12/2025

Dance, Laugh, Live: Bringing Joy to Your New Year 2026

You see, one of my New Year’s resolutions for 2026 is beautifully simple: to bring more fun into all areas of my life. Yes, this is my one and only goal and New Year’s resolution: to add more fun, laughter, and simple enjoyment to my life. No more overexerting, no more struggling or worrying. I’ve decided to take it easy and have more fun.

My vision board for the year 2026 is filled with many exciting goals across various areas of my life. Today, let's focus on health, as it forms the foundation for a fulfilling life.

First, let us clear away some long-standing misinformation about a “healthy” BMI: muscle is heavier than fat, and if you have more muscle, your BMI will appear higher. The WHO states that beyond a certain number, a BMI is considered too high, and according to their chart, you are then labeled as unhealthy. Sadly, health insurance companies also judge their clients according to this classification. So if muscle training is your hobby, the WHO may say that, based on your BMI, you are not healthy. How is that possible?

Then, of course, marketing tells you to buy a scale that measures your body fat—and here comes the next misleading myth, especially for women: yes, women’s breasts are mostly fat, and those body-fat scales will therefore tell many women that they have too much body fat. Again, this is misleading, particularly for women. They use these common beliefs to market their products, but with a solid understanding of biology, you can easily discern the truth.

While BMI may apply to people who do no sport or strength training, and body-fat scales may be somewhat informative for men, if you truly want to know how much dangerous visceral fat is present in your body, it is best to visit a qualified specialist who uses proper medical equipment to measure these values accurately. Having such a check-up once a year can provide valuable clarity.

Now that we have cleared this up, let us find some more fun in our cardio training. Because yes, I know it is also on your list of New Year’s resolutions: more and healthier cardio exercise. I admit that I have an indoor bike, which I use three times a week, and I also have a rowing machine. But honestly, unless I have some good action movies to watch while training, these workouts can get boring.

Wondering how to add more fun to my fitness routine, I dove into the world of youtube fitness videos. But there, too, I got bored pretty quickly. Then, suddenly, I came across one of those Bollywood dance videos - and somehow, the dancers’ positive energy made me start dancing along. Have you ever noticed the joy of life in those beautiful Bollywood movies, the passion that comes alive when they dance? It is simply contagious.

Dancing was one of my hobbies when I was a student, but I had forgotten what a powerful form of cardio training it can be. If you have a smartwatch or fitness tracker, you may be surprised to see your heart rate while following a good dance video. If you dance for more than 30 minutes to your favorite music videos, you have completed an amazing cardio workout. Dancing can even be a better form of cardio than running outdoors: it is much gentler on your joints and knees. Plus, dancing is fun, and it fills you with energy and joy.

Dancing is an amazing fat burner! The best part? While you’re moving to the music and having a blast, you’re actually burning more fat than you might by running.

Here are the facts: Dancing is a form of aerobic exercise that improves cardio-vascular health by increasing heart rate and enhancing circulation. Regular dancing has been shown to improve balance, coordination, and flexibility, which are important factors in preventing falls and injuries. Dancing engages multiple muscle groups simultaneously, helping to build muscular endurance and functional strength.
Studies show that physical activities involving rhythm and coordination, such as dancing, support brain health and cognitive function. Dancing has documented mental health benefits, including reducing stress, anxiety, and symptoms of depression through the release of endorphins.

This is why I am choosing to dance again, knowing it will make consistent cardio training easy and add more fun to it.

What about you, dear reader - what are your wishes for the new year, and what goals have you placed on your vision board for your life? What are your New Year’s resolutions for 2026? What is your heart truly longing for?

Living with AI in your Life: The Spiritual  Intelligence AI can’t replace

10/12/2025

More than ever before, people are bombarded with frightening messages about all the possible changes that AI could bring into their world and into all areas of life.

And more than ever before in the history of humanity, many things are changing so quickly that I call them high-speed changes. But as so often, let us remember to use discernment when reading these kinds of news. Because, as we know, fear is used to get clicks and make money for those news channels.

Yes, there is a beautiful potential to use AI for plenty of positive projects, especially in the medical field and similar areas of life. Programmed to serve the highest good of all, AI can become a useful and helpful assistant in many situations.

Some people react with fear when they hear about the changes AI can bring: if not my planned career, then what is the meaning of my life? That is a very precious question. Because the real meaning of life never was to identify with titles or careers. You are not your titles, labels, or professional roles. Those are only vehicles you drive for a while, but they are not who you truly are.

You are so much more - much bigger than any role you have ever held. The real you is eternal, and it does not need artificial intelligence, because you already carry the highest form of intelligence within you: Divine Intelligence.

The real intelligence that is now awakening across the world can never be replaced by anything artificial. AI is here to serve you, not define you. The intelligence that truly matters, the one that guides, inspires, and elevates, is Spiritual Intelligence - available to everyone, benevolent by nature, and originating from our Divine Source.

While some voices are now starting to talk about a super-intelligence, I hear them asking the question: what are people going to do if they suddenly have more free time?

Honestly, more free time is what our grandparents longed for their whole lives, as that generation often worked six to seven days per week, without any vacations at all. And if you ask half of the children around this planet, they all carry one big wish in their hearts: to spend more quality time with their parents. So, there is now some hope that family members will be able to spend more time together in the future.

Plus, there is hope that soon people will have more free time for their friends and more time to bring meaningful projects to life in their local communities; volunteer work, social and NPO initiatives, and even traveling.

When people are no longer consumed by constant busyness, they can reconnect with what truly matters: contributing to others, strengthening human bonds, and rediscovering a sense of purpose beyond daily obligations.

And what about all those wonderful artists, musicians, and gifted people who had to give up their talents when they were young because their careers kept them busy every single day? Now these people will have a chance to enjoy more free time for their creative talents.

What if artificial intelligence is here to serve you, allowing you to awaken your Spiritual Intelligence?

And maybe you remember the dreams, plans, ideas, and wishes you carried in your heart as a teenager: the ones you quietly packed away in a box when you started your first job and stepped into the demands of adult life. Take that box out now, open it with care, start dreaming again, and allow yourself to finally bring those long-waiting dreams to life.

The greatest opportunity of this new era is not merely to adapt to technological change, but to remember who we truly are and to live from that deeper intelligence with clarity, purpose, and compassion.

Let us focus on creating AI tools that support humanity in a benevolent way, helping to make our lives better, easier, and more aligned with our highest divine potential.

If you feel any fear or uncertainty about AI and its impact, I am here for you, and we can discuss your thoughts personally in a video meeting.

With Love, Jeanne
